Terms of use

These terms govern your use of YumeDB (the "Service"), operated by YumeDB. By creating an account or using the Service you accept them.

The service

YumeDB is an open, read-only anime & manga knowledge graph with optional free user accounts (profiles, lists, ratings). It is a non-commercial project — free to use, with no advertising or paid features. It is provided as is, with no guarantee as to the accuracy, completeness or availability of the data, and may change or be discontinued at any time.

Your account

  • You must be at least 14 years old.
  • You are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account.
  • Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • You can delete your account at any time.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service or its API unlawfully, or to harass, impersonate or infringe the rights of others.
  • Do not upload illegal, infringing or abusive content to your profile or lists.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt the Service, circumvent rate limits or scrape it beyond the published API limits.

Your content

You keep the rights to the content you add (profile, lists, reviews) and grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display it as part of the Service. You are responsible for that content, and we may remove anything that breaches these terms or the law.

Catalog data and third-party rights

The catalog is normalized from third-party sources (currently MyAnimeList via Jikan). Titles, synopses, artwork and other materials belong to their respective owners and are shown for informational purposes. If you hold rights in material shown here and want it removed, write to contact@vkoshtovnyi.com and we will act on valid requests.

Public API

The API is provided as-is and may be rate-limited or changed. If you build on it, attribute YumeDB and respect the upstream sources' own terms.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or the law. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, nor for the accuracy or availability of third-party data.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute falls under the courts of the operator's domicile, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights.

Changes

We may update these terms; continued use of the Service means you accept the changes.
